Our Valentines Day

Our little Valentines
Oh, how I pray they love each other like this forever!
We got up this morning and opened gifts before getting ready for church.

Grace got a couple of new books (and some dollhouse furniture that she gets to pick out tomorrow) - one for her and one to read to her brother.

Tristan got a pair of Buzz Lightyear wings (and a stern warning that they would NOT make him be able to fly so he should not jump off the furniture thinking that he would take off).

"To infinity, and beyond!"
Later, David was out in the garage working on making a mobile base for his router table. When Tristan found out what was going on, he went and got his backpack that is full of his tools, and headed out to help his daddy. When he discovered that his power drill would not work, he went and got the drill press off his workbench so he could drill some holes in the wood for David - and you can't forget your ear protection when you're working with noisy tools.

Grace and I stuck to the kitchen and whipped up some strawberry rice crispy treats.

We were using a recipe out of her Paula Deen cookbook, and she looked at me and said, "I'm really gonna be a real chef, and I bet that my food tastes better than Miss Paula Deens'. She's a good cook, but my food still tastes better than hers." I responded to her by saying it's because of all the love she puts into her cooking that makes it better.

We hope you all had a wonderful day!

Thanks Courtney! I will miss you and yours too. At least we'll have our blogs to watch each other's kids grow up.
