Benetton photo shoot - Part 1

Grace was asked to participate in a photo shoot yesterday.  Shortly after we had arrived in country, we were at the PX in Yongsan and a lady approached us and asked to take Grace's and Tristan's pictures.  After handing me her card and explaining that she was affiliated with a modeling company in Seoul and had been around for many years we obliged.  David and I saw no harm in it and figured what the heck?  The kids could make a little bit of money.  I never expected that she'd really call.  In fact, just the other day I threw away her business card.  Tristan had gotten a call a month or so ago, but they needed to get pictures of him within a very short period of time to show to the company, so he didn't get to participate in whatever that was for.

So, we all loaded up early yesterday morning and headed up to Seoul.  We met Ms. Sue and were taken over to Seoul Dream Forrest along with 2 other kids and their dads.  Along the way we found out that the shoot was for Benetton.  So, in 90 or so degree heat, and 90+ % humidity, these poor kids were shooting for the winter catalog!  I still haven't figured this one out yet - winter clothes, all the trees have their green leaves on them, and not a lick of snow on the ground.  It'll be interesting to see what the final product turns out like.

I of course took my camera along to snap a few pics of my own.  I did my best to keep this to a minimum, but I'm gonna do the photo shoot over  3 posts... I took somewhere around 400 pictures and could only whittle it down to somewhere around 50 to share.  They were just too cute!  So just know that there are a ton of pictures coming up...

Winter clothes... UGH!

Let the spoiling begin!  Doughnuts and pastries.

Really, ladies.  Would you mind holding my hair up and blowing down my neck?  I mean after all, she wouldn't be here if not for me!

I'm thinkin' they're pretty miserable...

But when  it's time, those smiles shine!

This is one of my favorites

Tristan playing with one of the props.  He had a blast!
Thank goodness it was an outdoor shoot and he was able to run and play!  I can't imagine keeping him entertained in a studio for 4 hours.

Did I mention how spoiled the kids were?
People just standing aroud fanning them all day long...

Mother Nature provided a great backdrop for this one.
This is a tree that had fallen during the typhoon last Thursday.

Check back tomorrow for part 2
