A couple of weeks ago my friend Kim and I loaded up the kids and headed off to Happy Quilt. While it's no Dongdemun (a huge fabric, etc. market in Seoul that I hope to get to very soon, and will post pictures when I do), it's a fabulous place to get fabric and it only takes about 30 minutes to get there.
The Koreans love kids, and love little blondies!
Kim walked up with her youngest and this man took her right out of her arms. So all you mom's out there who don't like your kids being held by strangers - don't come to Korea!
This is just a portion of the fabrics they have.
The bolt stacks go back about 3 deep on 3 sides of the warehouse and are stacked at least 6 feet high.
All the fabrics in the middle are 2 yards for 6,000 won (about $5).
While I'm no seamstress, I am inspired to start making a bunch of things for Grace and I. Don't know that I'll be sewing much for Tristan, but I can see cute outfits galore for Grace! And what the heck, at less than $5 an outfit, if I'm only sewing for one I'm still saving a ton of money. I'll share my projects as I finish them (but don't hold your breath, it may be a while!).
