Happy 102nd Birthday Grandma Millie!

Though we cannot be there to celebrate with her, we made Grandma Millie a cake for her 102nd birthday.  Yep, you read right, 102!  We would love to take this cake to Chicago and eat it with her (Grace even suggested covering it with foil and putting it in a box to take with us), and allow her to meet her newest grandchild, but with the cost of airfare these days it just isn't feasable.

Tristan chose a strawberry cake and wanted to make a three tiered cake - a circle on the bottom, square in the middle, and circle to top it off.  Then it was time to decorate it...

The finished product - isn't it lovely? ;)
We even had candles, though we hesitated to put all 102 on the cake!

Unfortunately we haven't been able to see Grandma since her 100th birthday, but in speaking with one of my cousins, she seems to have her wits about her most of the time, and enjoys visiting with her sister when she visits.  I know Grandma is anxious to go home to Jesus, but for some reason He has not called her home yet.  Please keep her in your prayers - that she remains comfortable and healthy until Jesus brings her home to Him.

Happy Birthday Grandma Millie!  We love you and miss you!
