Yeoju Ceramics Festival

It's getting to be a really busy time of year here in Korea, all sorts of festivals going on, and since we haven't been to any yet, we're going to try to hit a lot of them this year.  We hit the road and headed over to Yeoju where there is a ceramics village that has been having a festival for the last couple of weeks.

This is ginger candy that is sooooo yummy!  The man working there offered us a sample, and then we bought some, and then we went back for some more before we left.  It is just a big glob of sticky yumminess, and they shave off portions using a wood plane. 

They also had potters there who were helping people make their own ceramic items.

They had lots and lots of beautiful ceramic items, many of which I would've loved to take home with me, but I settled on some lunch sized square plates for a little less than $3 a piece.  And what do you know - I didn't take any pictures of them!

They also had ceramics for the kids to paint, and they would fire them while you waited.

Then it was time to let the kiddos run around while David and I made sure there wasn't anything in any of the little shops that we couldn't live without.

Athletics T-Ball

Tristan is playing T-ball this year and loves it!  He almost didn't get to play because there wasn't a coach for his team.  But, his awesome dad stepped up and said he would coach.  It's hard to tell who's having more fun!

Beautiful Flowers

At Osan Air Base they have a hillside that is covered in beautiful little flowers during the beginning of Spring.  We missed out on taking pictures there last year, so I wanted to be sure to get over there with my camera this year.

Trying to get all three of them looking at me and smiling at the same time is proving to be difficult... 

I know I can't do anything to stop it, but this little girl just isn't so little anymore, and I don't like it.

Grace is playing coach pitch baseball this year and really seems to enjoy it.  She has an awesome coach who is doing a fabulous job teaching them the fundamentals and is very encouraging to every player on the team.
