Naomi - Month 5

I just love the way this little princess sleeps!  She even wakes up with finger indentations on her cheek...

I was at a PWOC conference in Seoul and I had to step out of the room because she was so very tired, but just wouldn't go to sleep with everything going on.  I laid her on this couch and rubbed her back, and she was out. 

This is one of Naomi's "aunts".  Aunt Kelli steals her out of my arms whenever she is within reach and isn't nursing. I love having a community baby. :) 

She has recently discovered her feet and loves to suck/chew on them whenever she can.

David was horsing around while changing her diaper and the wooden letters that were on her mirror fell and knocked her in the head.

Yes, she is really this happy.  At least most of the time.

Christmas Decorating

Here we are, nearly a week after Thanksgiving, and we are finally getting our Christmas decorating done!

Thanksgiving Party

Tristan's class had a Thanksgiving party today.  There was a ton of food, and I contributed a fantastic (if I do say so myself) turkey that I slaved over all night long... well, my crock pot slaved over it all night long.  If you've never done a turkey in the crock pot, I highly recommend it!  It was delicious!  and oh so moist.  I was holding onto a leg bone trying to get the bird out of the pot so I could get the meat off the bone, and the bone came right out in my hand.  Okay - back to the party:

A couple of moms came in and did face painting for the kiddos.

Since we had an event to go to for David's unit, I pulled Grace out of school during her lunch so she could enjoy the feast too before we left for David's function.

I also contributed this turkey cake.

The kids had so much fun at the end of the day they just passed out!

We're planning on having 15-20 around our Thanksgiving table tomorrow - I'm a little overwhelmed, but thankful we can provide the single soldiers a place to go and get a good (hopefully) home cooked meal and a place of fellowship outside the barracks.  We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Sibling Love

A little love.

It seems the kids have reached the age of arguing and fighting with each other, so when I catch these moments, I make it a point to praise them!

Taeshin Farm

The Kindergarten classes at Humphreys American School took a field trip to Taeshin Farm to learn about animals and their offspring.  Considering all the urban development that we are used to here in South Korea, it was a vast expanse of land that we visited!

Apparently the painted animal sculpture craze hit this side of the world too.

They really like to make things out of large washers.

Each of them got to try milking a cow too - not all of them took the opportunity though.

I figured I'd give it a shot too.

Next up was ice cream making! YUM!

It was hard to convince them to not lick the bowl.

There was also a playground there with this awesome metal slide.  The kids came flying down!

Just before we loaded back on the buses, Mrs. Ware had them spread out...

...and race across the field.  They loved it!
