Trunk or Treat
Our Halloween consisted of going to our church for the Harvest Festival and Trunk or Treat. It must've been the talk on the playground on Friday, because the kids kept hounding us about when they were going to be able to get dressed up and go trick-or-treating.

We, rather, David and the kids, finally carved our pumpkins a few nights before Halloween. I had bought a book of templates last year, but we never used them, so I dug them out, and let the kids each choose one to do.

Tucson Children's Museum
Last week I got to be a mom and go on a field trip with Grace and her fellow Kindergartners. We went up to the Tucson Children's Museum and the staff there gave us a presentation on ocean life.
We then were able to explore the museum on our own.
Backyard Adventures
The kids said that they wanted to go camping a week or so ago, but with our schedule we weren't able to go anywhere, so David set the tent up in the backyard. The kids thought it was great!

Grace and David spent the next night in the tent too, but I stayed in with Tristan (we'd had a really busy day, and he didn't have a nap, so he fell asleep in David's chair early in the evening, and I didn't want to get him dressed warm enough to sleep outside). It looks like David might have some campers on his hands after all!
