Misc Naomi

It's been a while since I've posted what Naomi is up to, so here are some that show what a character she is becoming.
She's generally pretty sweet.
But she does like to pitch her fits on occassion.
She loves to read,
and help with the laundry.
She's all about shoes - whether they're hers or not.
She really enjoys feeding herself.
She's a great snuggler
(when she's not running about)
She loves playing in the water.
(she's standing on the toilet to reach)
She enjoys giving everyone a good laugh.
And she especially likes to help.
Even if she's more help than we need sometimes.
Her first ponytail.
Enjoying some Korean ribs
First pigtails.

She is growing into a wonderful little girl who is usually very pleasant to be around (thankfully most of her irritability occurs at home).  She is most definitely opinionated and isn't afraid to let her brother and sister know just how she feels.  It's hard to believe she's 19 months old already.

Pinewood Derby

Tristan had his first pinewood derby today and he was so excited!
A trial  run
He did all the painting himself
David announcing the overall winners.
The winners
All the competitors

He had a reallygood time, and seeing his proud smile while he was racing was priceless.

Apaches, Blackhawks, and Chinooks, Oh My!

We have been so spoiled with our homeschool field trips here!  First it was getting to cly the Apache simulator, and in the last month we were able to fly the Chinook simulator and play around on a Blackhawk!  Needless to say, Tristan is in hog heaven.
While waiting for turns in the Chinook simulator, the kids all played different games.
And even made a new friend.
Tristan learning to play chess - Mario style
Grace up at the controls
The pilot giving lessons said Tristan was his best pilot that day.
I didn't get a chance to do the Apache simulator, so I tried this one.  Even though the motion was turned off, it still felt like you were really moving.
I called David to come over if he was able to, and he b-lined it out of the office.  This guy loves Chinooks!

Then this week's field trip was to go play on a Blackhawk.  I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed that we didn't get to do the simulator for this one too - but the kids had a ball pretending to be soldiers on it!
Out little group.

We have had such a great experience with our first homeschool cooperative group.  We are very much looking forward to our next group and all the new experiences awaiting us in the Virginia/DC area!

Ice Skating in Busan

Since we had time to kill, we let the kids go ice skating, which they absolutely love to do.  They don't do it very often, so they still have trouble staying upright, but that doesn't matter to them!
Silly Daddy!
Kisses from Gracie
While falling in the corner, they met two Korean girls who spoke English (and took skating lessons), who befriended them and gave them some pointers.
It makes me so happy that my kids can make a "friend" anywhere they go.
Love how Tristan's hair is sticking out through the hole in the top of his helmet!

This topped off our long weekend nicely, and we were all ready to get back home.

Madame Tousseauds Wax Museum

Since out last day in Busan was a dreary, rainy day we headed over to Shinsegae shopping center to visit the wax museum and meet a few celebrities.
With my man George Clooney
Brangelina
Julia Roberts

Madonna

Michael Jackson
Some famous Korean dude

Marilyn Monroe

Givin' it to Jackie Chan!

Workin' out with David Bekham
Leonardo DiCaprio

While we were really disappointed with the display, we made up for it by taking the kids ice skating before heading home on the train.
