Boys Weekend

Last weekend, while I was busy recovering from surgery and taking care of a newborn (sorry, I couldn't resist giving a little ribbing here!  It really was okay with me), David went off SCUBA diving with several of his co-workers, both Korean and American.  They left early Saturday morning and drove up to the northeast coast of the peninsula.

They had to wear 7mm wetsuits (that means the water was really cold!)

David said the only way he could tolerate wearing it on shore was down around his shoulders because it was so hot.

He said it was a bit difficult to see until you got down past the thermocline.

They did two dives, with a break for lunch in between.

You can eat these, but they didn't.  Apparently they are quite expensive (this one is about $100), and it's illegal to SCUBA dive to get them.

Done for the day - he said the water was absolutely frigid!

He said he was having difficulty seeing on the second dive, but figured it was just his mask.  It was in fact a broken blood vessel.  I told him he deserved it for leaving me with a brand new baby to go off and have fun!  :)

Sunday before they came home, they all went for a ride on some go carts.

They all seemed to have a good time and are hoping to go back in October when the water is warmer.
