With his mini-me.
We had a home visit from his teacher (3 days after we moved in - can you say I was a bit stressed about the state of my house?), and she left him with his first homework assignment - to create a "mini-me" to hang on their bulletin board.
His backpack was all loaded up with his school supplies.
Waiting at the elevator.
Walking to the blacktop to line up.
(His backpack got a bit too heavy while walking Grace to the other campus first, so Mom had to shoulder it for a bit.)
On the way in to see his classroom.
He really was excited despite this somewhat concerned look on his face.
The kids waiting for their name to be called so they can be shown where their cubby is.
My poor little man was so confused when the Pledge of Allegiance came over the speaker. He knew he was supposed to stand up, face the flag and say it, but no one else was. It was pretty crazy in the classroom that morning, and I don't even know that the teachers heard it come on.
Our new apartment is right on the corner of the building that Tristan walks by to go to and from lunch each day, so I played the part of "stalker mom" and snapped a few pics of my little duck as he went to lunch on his first day.
He had a great first day of school, and has looked forward to it every morning since! I'm so glad my kids love learning and going to school!
