This is a Korean raft called a t'e-u (테우).
This one was used to sail to Japan!

I forget what these guys are called, but they are guardians of Jeju and are supposed to protect and bring good fortune to the area they are guarding.
Cheonjiyeon, meaning "God’s pond," derives its name from the legend that the
seven fairies serving the King of Heaven came down to the pond on stairs of
clouds and bathed in its clean waters.

The rain held off long enough for us to have a nice, leisurely visit at the falls, and then we headed over to ride on a submarine.
